About Us
virtuesrose is a family business in Gönen / Isparta. We grow the Isparta rose (Rosa damascena) in our own garden, harvest it by hand and distil the rose water on the same day. There is only one reason we keep that distance so short: the scent of the rose does not like to wait.
The Isparta rose opens at the end of May and is over by the middle of June. Within that short window we walk down to the garden every morning, before the sun climbs high enough to carry the scent away. A whole year's harvest is gathered in the mornings of a few weeks.
During the harvest season everyone is out in the garden. Roses cannot be picked by machine; every flower is taken one by one, separated from its stem. That is why behind every bottle we produce there is a day that began in the dark of the morning.
Craft
At first light, by hand. The roses we pick are never left waiting under the sun.
They go into the still the same day. Steam carries the volatile oil of the rose; rose water and rose oil separate at this stage.
No additives, no preservatives and no fragrance are added. The product is bottled directly.
Nothing but the rose goes into the bottle; every drop comes from the same garden.
